In Case

Emergency preparedness kits for New Zealand households. Because when something goes wrong, you don’t want to be googling.

New Zealand has a readiness problem. Civil Defence recommends every household keep three days of emergency supplies. The reality is most New Zealanders have a few canned goods and a torch with flat batteries. In Case fixes that.

The premise is simple: curated emergency kits, tailored for the specific risks of living in Aotearoa — earthquakes, flooding, the occasional cyclone. Not a generic camping checklist repurposed as an emergency kit. Something actually designed for the threat profile of this place.

The platform handles the full e-commerce flow: kit configuration, Stripe checkout, fulfillment, and a customer portal for replenishment reminders. Durable Objects manage inventory state at the edge for real-time availability.

At ~90% code complete, In Case is waiting on supplier relationships and regulatory sign-off before launch. The platform is built, tested, and ready.
